The mission of Fort Wonder Summer Camps is to foster the intellectual, physical, emotional, and character development of our campers through safe and engaging summer camps.
Our programs provide campers with a classic summer camp atmosphere that focuses on memory-making, peer relationships, and community. Our curriculum helps campers access their creativity and sense of wonder as a tool for education and engagement, ultimately creating unique, age-appropriate learning opportunities for each participant.
Fort Wonder Summer Camps feature a diverse staff of adults, college students and exceptional high school students, resulting in a team of energetic, engaging leaders that are skilled at creating a safe camp environment, connecting with campers, and delivering an exceptional learning experience that integrates academics, arts, and athletics.
Our Wonderweek Camps feature a staff of professional educators, education majors, experienced camp counselors, and individuals who aspire to enter the field of education. Our Specialty Camps are hosted by faculty and staff members from Fort Worth Country Day and select educational professionals from the Fort Worth community.
Fort Wonder is hosted on the campus of Fort Worth Country Day, an independent, coeducational, nondenominational college-preparatory school located in southwest Fort Worth.
Fort Worth Country Day’s gated, 104-acre campus features technology-enabled classrooms, a maker lab, two libraries, a dedicated visual arts building, a performing arts theater, elite athletic facilities, two ballet studios, indoor climbing walls, an outdoor ropes course, multiple playgrounds, and a picturesque pond, creating the ultimate environment to inspire wonder and create lasting summer memories.
