PROTOCOLS

FORT WONDER 2021 COVID-19 PROTOCOLS

The following COVID-19 protocols are in place for the 2021 Fort Wonder Summer Camps season:

  • Masks are optional for all summer camps. Campers and staff who prefer to wear a mask at camp should feel comfortable doing so. Participants who choose to wear a mask are responsible for providing their own masks.

  • Parents must screen their campers before arriving on campus each day, and children who are displaying symptoms of any illness are not allowed to attend camp.

  • Camp Hosts, Camp Staff, and Camp Volunteers are required to self-screen at home on a daily basis and may not attend camp if they are displaying symptoms of any illness.

  • Campers, Camp Hosts, Camp Staff, and Camp Volunteers who display symptoms of COVID-19 or who have been deemed a close-contact of an individual who is positive for COVID-19 must present to the Camp Nurse a letter from their physician stating that they are clear to resume camp activities before returning to camp.

  • Upon arrival at camp, Campers, Camp Hosts, Camp Staff Members, and Camp Volunteers must sanitize their hands. Hand washing and hand sanitizing breaks will take place throughout the day.

  • When the weather permits, we will be holding our lunch periods for full-day campers in shaded outdoor spaces. In the case of inclement weather or excessively hot temperatures, campers will be eating lunch with their groups in their respective camp homerooms.

  • These policies and procedures are subject to change based on the level of COVID-19 community spread in the Fort Worth region.

Leading up to and throughout the camp season, we will work closely with the Fort Worth Country Day Medical Advisory Team (a team of medical professionals from the DFW community established to ensure the safety of individuals participating in activities at FWCD) to maintain a safe camp experience for all participants.
