Favorite Thing About Working with Children: Their brutal honesty! I also adore children’s joy and excitement for camp activities. Their wonder is contagious!
Favorite Holiday: Halloween, BOO
Pets: Katie & Ranger (English setters), Cowboy (horse), and Butterscotch, Pepper, Tortilla, and Rutherford B. Hayes (my amazing chickens!)
In My Personal Time, I Like To: garden, read, travel and nap
Go-to Sonic Drink Order: Half unsweet tea, half lemonade; I am a recovering Diet Coke fanatic
Favorite Camp Memory: How can I choose only one?! Last year, cabins created their own carnival games for others to play. It was so fun to witness their creativity and see their joy while playing other cabins’ games! We also had a Fourth of July parade last summer, and the whole FWCD community came to cheer us on!

Child Care/Teaching Experience: I have been in childcare for 11 years. My journey began in 2015 as an after-school group leader and counselor at the YMCA, and it quickly progressed over the years. In 2019, I moved into the classroom to teach kindergarten ELA and Reading for three years and fourth grade for one year, and all the while, I was working camps each summer.
Education: University of North Texas
Favorite Thing About Working with Children: Building relationships and being able to experience their spontaneous personalities, all while getting to watch them blossom and grow into great individuals
Favorite Holiday: Christmas! Right after Thanksgiving, I start watching all of the Christmas classics!
Pets: Old Lady Pitbull named Snow
In My Personal Time, I like to: Craft! It can range from something as simple as coloring/painting or making shirts or designs.
Go-To Sonic Order: Cranberry Limeade w/ EXTRA peach!
Favorite Camp Memory: During Summer 2025, we had a magician who put on such a magical, and I mean magical, show! His performance truly had me speechless, and with it being my first time seeing a magic show live, it instantly became a core memory for me.
